GAJ Policy Statement
GEO Academic Journal (GAJ) is committed to promoting open access to scholarly works and upholding the rights of authors. As such, this policy ensures that authors retain the copyright and full publishing rights without any restrictions, empowering them to disseminate their research and intellectual contributions as they deem appropriate.
Copyright Ownership:
- Authors who submit their work to GAJ shall retain the copyright to their original scholarly articles, research papers, and any other content published in the journal.
- By submitting their work, authors grant GAJ a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and store their work in both print and electronic formats. This license extends to the journal’s website, archives, and any other future platforms affiliated with GAJ.
- The copyright transfer remains non-exclusive, allowing authors to reuse and share their work elsewhere without seeking permission from GAJ.
Publishing Rights:
- Authors are granted the full and unrestricted right to self-archive and share the final published version of their articles, research papers, or related content in open-access repositories, personal websites, and academic social networking sites.
- Authors can freely disseminate their work to colleagues, students, or the broader academic community, encouraging collaboration and academic progress.
Attribution and Citation:
- Authors are to be properly credited and attributed for their original works whenever it is used or cited by others. Proper citation of the published work in GAJ should be followed to give due recognition to the journal’s contribution to the scholarly community.
Exceptions:
- In some cases, where the work is published under specific grant requirements or agreements, GAJ will comply with any additional stipulations associated with that funding.
Amendments to the Policy:
GAJ reserves the right to modify this policy to adapt to changing legal or ethical considerations. Any amendments made to this policy will be communicated to the authors and made publicly available on the journal’s website.
By submitting their work to GAJ, authors acknowledge their agreement and compliance with this policy.
