Abstract
Organizational commitment is the emotional bond employees have with their workplace. Employees devoted to their organization typically experience a bond with it, a sense of belonging, and an awareness of its goals, vision, and mission. Employees are said to be dedicated to the organization when their aims align with those of the organization, when they are willing to invest effort on its behalf, and when they wish to retain their relationship with the business. There has been a rise in interest in studying employee commitment to their organizations. There is much curiosity about organizational commitment because it predicts things like turnover, attitude, and happiness. Research in this field has shaped commitment on the job, in one’s profession, in one’s work group, and in one’s work as a whole. Using Meyer and Allen’s concept, this research examines the three facets of organizational commitment among a selected group of employees at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) to determine if there is a correlation between them. In addition, the research report analyzed how employees with different demographic profiles rate on a scale of organizational commitment.
